Jo Dee Messina opened up about an accident involving her tour bus over the weekend in Louisville, Kentucky.

Messina shared a video on Instagram to address “quite an eventful weekend,” and clarify that her bus did not flip over. She also confirmed everyone involved is OK, apart from feeling “shaken up,” and thanked the first responders for “responding with grace” at the scene.

“I just wanted to let you guys know that apparently a 911 call went out to say that the bus had flipped over. We were involved in an accident. A car driving by, passing us on the left side, had hit the bus and the car had flipped over and rolled into the median,” Messina said. “And everyone involved in that incident is fine. The driver of the car is fine. Miracle. Miracle. Miracle that he walked away from that. And everyone on the bus is fine. We were, of course, shaken up.

“I do want to say a very special ‘thank you’ to the Louisville Police Department. Louisville, Kentucky Police Department, Fire Department, everybody that showed up on the scene,” she added. “They were really fast in getting there and did a real thorough job And (I) wanted to let you guys know that the bus did not flip over. The car that hit us ended up flipping over a few times and went into the median. That driver’s OK. We’re OK. Thank you for your concern, and thank you to the police department, fire department, everyone up in Louisville, Kentucky, for just doing an awesome job.”
