The Most Common Job-Related Dreams

We spend almost half of our waking lives at work, so much time that it adds up to about 90-thousand hours during our lifetime. So, it’s really not surprising that our jobs have a starring role in our dreams, in fact, new research shows that 64% of Americans admit to having work-related nightmares. And a new report uncovers the most common ones.

  • The team at JobLeads, an online job search platform, analyzed global search data to find out how often people searched for the meaning of job-related dreams.
  • So, what career-related things are haunting our dreams the most? Dreaming about being late for work comes in first, with more than 86-hundred (8,640) online searches for the topic a year.
  • Losing a job or getting fired is number two, with 7,020 yearly searches.
  • JobLeads even brought in celebrity psychic and dream expert Inbaal Honigman to break down what these work dreams mean.
  • She says being late for work is a classic stress dream that “reflects feelings of pressure and being overwhelmed by work demands.”
  • As for the nightmare about getting fired, the expert explains this dream “symbolizes job insecurity and worries about financial stability.”
