Holland Police say burglary suspect charged after turning self in

HOLLAND, Mich. -- Holland Public Safety says a burglary suspect has turned himself and has been formally charged now.

Last Friday, police asked for the public's help in locating 39-year-old Eric Joseph Cody of Grand Rapids in connection with a November 10 break-in. They said about $15,000 worth of trading cards was stolen from the Super Hideaway Gaming store on South Washington Avenue.

Public Safety says Cody turned himself in to police in Muskegon County this past weekend and he was later taken to the Ottawa County Jail.

Police say Cody was arraigned Monday afternoon on a single count of Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent. Bond was set at $5,000.

A probable-cause hearing is scheduled for February 4th.

It was around 9:50 a.m. on Nov. 10 that Holland DPS officers responded to a report of a broken out window on the front door. Arriving officers determined the store had been broken into sometime during the night.

A probable-cause hearing is scheduled for February 4th.
