offering free refills on specific drinks again, and now you don’t have to be a Starbucks Rewards member to get the perk. And they’re bringing back the condiment bar, too!
As of yesterday (January 27th):
- Customers will be able to add their own sweetener and milks to their beverages at the condiment bar, which was removed during the pandemic.
- Free refills are also back for customers ordering in-store.
- They’ll be asked if they want to enjoy their order “for here” or “to go.” Those who choose “for here” will receive their drink in a ceramic mug, glass or a personal cup.
- These customers will be eligible for free refills on hot brewed or iced coffee, or hot or iced tea during their visit.
- Drinks in disposable cups don’t get free refills and neither do specialty drinks or to-go orders.
- Also excluded from free refills are Cold Brew and Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Tea Lemonade, flavored Iced Tea and Starbucks Refreshers.
Starbucks is also sharing their new Coffeehouse Code of Conduct, which they explain “is designed to provide clarity that our spaces — including our cafes, patios and restrooms — are for use by customers and partners.” It basically means that you aren’t welcome to just hang out in the store or use the bathroom anymore unless you buy something. But the code of conduct also “bans discrimination and harassment, violence or abusive language, outside alcohol, panhandling, drug use, and other disruptive behavior,” in an effort to create a welcoming environment.
