Lincoln Police investigate a homicide after a man died in a shooting at a convenience store late Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired and people being shot inside a "Casey’s" at South 13th and ‘E’ Streets in Lincoln.

Officers found one man with life-threatening injuries.

Another man, believed to be an innocent bystander, had non-life-threatening injuries.

Both were taken to a hospital where the man with the life-threatening-injuries later died.

The preliminary investigation and witness statements indicate there was a disturbance that started in the parking lot between the shooter and the person who died.

Police say the shooter surrendered his firearm to officers and is cooperating.
