Broward's Superintendent expected to make his own recommendations at today's workshop on schools targeted for closure next year. District Boundary Committee member Jacqui Luscombe says instead of closing schools the district should split campuses. The committee is asking the School Board to keep five of the eight schools slated for closure open. Final decisions are expected to be made next month and would take effect during the next academic year.
