Farmers Rally To Help A Fallen Farmers Family.

When farmers near Antler, North Dakota learned that their neighbor, Randy Fyllesvold, had passed away in an auto accident in September, they quietly began organizing a plan to support his family. In an effort to lighten the burden on Randy’s loved ones during an incredibly difficult moment, farmers from the surrounding communities stepped forward to finish Randy’s last harvest of soybeans, canola, and corn.

Close to 75 volunteers recently brought together a fleet of 12 combines and help from more than 10 communities to clear about 14-hundred acres of corn in only a few days. The effort required careful coordination to handle the high volume of crops arriving at once, and volunteers describe it as a true divide-and-conquer operation.

Randy’s widow, Kharra Fyllesvold, later took to social media to thank everyone involved. She called the support breathtaking and wrote that it brought a sense of peace despite the sadness. She also shared that she and her sons felt deeply blessed and they believe Randy would have been proud of the community response.
