Governor Dan McKee says the Washington Bridge project has reached a major milestone.
The governor says the full demolition of the old bridge has been completed ahead of schedule.
He also says work on the new bridge continues to progress.
Walsh Construction has been mobilizing equipment and crews, securing permits, coordinating utility work, and advancing the bridge design.
The governor says the work includes detailed surveying and 3-D scanning to guide and refine the final design of the new bridge.
