BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. --
PowerStrength Byron Center has held a grand opening, but instead of cutting a ceremonial ribbon Wednesday, they cut a chain instead.
The facility is located inside the Special Olympics of Michigan headquarters building on 68th Street in Cutlerville. Some Grand Rapids Chamber executives were on-hand during the noon-hour event.
"The team here is very, very strong," said Mark Ehnis, founder and C-E-O of PowerStrength Training Systems.
"We're all about creating, building stronger people to create stronger communities. There wasn't a stronger community already in place here. So, I want to be part of that. Even a small piece of that," Ehnis said.
PowerStrength describes itself as a welcoming community for all abilities and experience levels. The facility also offers personal training specifically tailored for adults in the 40s, 50s and 60s, plus athlete performance training.
