Tampa, FL - Google’s Year in Search 2025 shows the songs, events, slang terms, and sports jerseys that Tampa Bay residents looked up most throughout the year.
As 2025 comes to a close, new data from Google outlines the most searched trends across the Tampa and St. Petersburg area.
The report highlights which songs, ticketed events, slang terms, and sports jerseys saw the highest spikes in local search interest.
The most searched song in Tampa Bay was “Ordinary” by Alex Warren, which maintained national attention after its February release and continued chart performance.
Two tracks associated with the film KPop Demon Hunters appeared in the top five following the movie’s June release and national popularity.
Taylor Swift’s “Wood” ranked third, while Bad Bunny’s “DtMF” placed fifth during a year in which he was Spotify’s top global artist.
In the ticket category, the Make America Slime Again Tour by rapper NBA YoungBoy generated the most searches despite not stopping in Tampa.
Universal’s Epic Universe, which opened in Orlando in May, ranked second. Other notable searches included UFC 314 Volkanovski vs Lopes, a Minecraft movie, and Breezy Bowl XX.
Among slang terms, Tampa Bay residents most frequently searched the meaning of “6 7,” which was also named Dictionary.com’s word of the year.
Searches for “Clock It,” “86,” “PMO,” and “Sharking” followed.
Sports jersey searches were led by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Interest in New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye ranked second, followed by retired NBA player Jeff Teague.
Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and the Pittsburgh Steelers completed the top five.
