Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava expected to recommend a site today for the new garbage incinerator after analyzing proposals from Florida Power and Light and another company based in Spain. This comes after the commission unanimously voted to build a "waste-to-energy" facility to replace the old one in Doral that has been shut down nearly three years after a fire. Commissioners can accept the mayor's recommendation or pick another proposal.
