My "Getting Ready for Christmas" Weekend in Pictures

Saturday was a very busy day. In the morning I was at Father John's Animal House to be a part of "The 12 Strays of Christmas." At least one of the 12 strays has already found a new family. In the afternoon I was at Nielsen Nissan in Stanhope for Santa's visit there. Seeing little children's eyes light up when they see Santa never gets old. I gave away all of the prizes we brought. Everyone who came while I was there went home with tickets to the Skylands Stadium Christmas Light Show or snow tubing at Mountain Creek. On the home front, it was time to put up the Christmas Tree and decorate. I love Christmas but I dread putting up the tree and decorating. This year my daughter helped me and things went pretty smoothly. One decorating tradition that brings me joy is putting out the Christmas Photos of my grand children. We added Miss Charlotte to this year's pictures. A few more finishing touches and the decorating will be done. After decorating I got a little creative in the kitchen. I made Hillshire Farms smoked beef sausage and Cajun Rice. Spicy but perfect for a cold snowy night.
