Did you travel in 2025? How much are you on the hook for? American's spent a LOT to travel in 2025. So where did you go? I went to Mexico, Las Vegas a few times, and a few other places, and I know what my credit card bill looks like. But how much do you think American's spent just on travel in 2025?
The average American traveler spent $2,261 on travel in 2025 and visited three new places, according to a Talker Research survey of 2,000 frequent travelers. (see the numbers HERE)
So where did you go? The survey said American travelers took two non-work trips and explored two new states plus one new country. A lot of $$$ spent there. But how does it compare to 2024? Thirty-eight percent traveled more than in 2024. 76% feel confident they’ll travel more in 2026, with beach getaways and road trips leading planned activities.
Yes, traveling costs a lot. But the experience is worth it in the end for a lifetime of memories. So no matter the cost, maybe just go and worry later. It's the American way.
