DAVE FRASER JOINS AT 12:30 FOR WEATHER WEDNESDAY And I'll ask Fox 31's Chief Meteorologist when it will feel like winter here. I realize I shouldn't complain but high 60s is too high for me right now.
REP. SCOTT BOTTOMS JOINS TODAY AT 1 Not only is he running for Governor, he's also been dragged into the fray with Victor Marx. Marx said on Ryan Schuiling's show yesterday (You should listen to that interview here) that Bottoms had not only asked Marx not to run, but had also offered him a position as Lt. Governor if Bottoms was the nominee. Bottoms says this is not at all accurate. Find out more about Rep. Bottoms' campaign here.
ABOUT THOSE EDUCATION TAX CREDITS POLIS JUST SIGNED UP FOR There is a lot of confusion from Colorado Democrats who think a modest tax credit given to those who donate to programs that give scholarships to kids wanting more from their education are robbing the public school system. Nothing could be further from the truth. I've got Norton Rainey, CEO of ACE Scholarships on at 2:30 to talk about it. ACE Scholarships (headquartered in Denver) a nonprofit K-12 SGO that’s been delivering scholarships for 25 years is going to discuss Polis’ decision, what it means for Colorado, and how this tax credit will deliver educational freedom to thousands of Colorado families. Find out more about ACE by clicking here.
GET READY FOR POWER OUTAGES TODAY We're going to get more info from Dave about what the winds are supposed to do today but Xcel is not wasting any time telling customers in the northern corridor and the Plains that they may have their power cut. Why? Because Xcel was found liable for the fires a few years ago sparked by a downed power line and they aren't going to do THAT again. So they are simply cutting off the power to who knows how many. It's time to buy a generator, people. Find the map of the potential shutoffs here.
TIME FOR TINA TO DEVELOP A BAD COUGH OR SOMETHING As Governor Jared Polis literally laid out THE REASON he would let her out early. If she were really sick. Read it here. Her attorneys say her health has deteriorated in prison, it's time to get a diagnosis.
DEMOCRAT WANTS TO FURTHER DESTROY OUR BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT By passing a rule that says employers have to reimburse the state if their employees are using Medicaid or SNAP. I get why State Rep. Lisa Feret, D-Arvada thinks this is a great idea, because she's never run a business. But the reality is low skill labor is only worth so much. If you want to get people off Medicaid and SNAP, help them get skills to move up to something better. This will drive more business from the state.
DENVER PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS SHRINKING FASTER THAN EXPECTED As enrollment declines, most of which are from immigrant students who left, were greater than expected for Denver Public Schools. It outpaced the already announced school closures and is going to force the district to look at changing boundaries for existing schools. This is a slow motion disaster for the district and will most certainly lead to more school closures. Too bad incompetent people are going to be in charge of this process. Maybe not all of the are incompetent, but leadership sure is.
DENVER'S HOMELESS ARE SEEKING HELP And that's a good thing. The bad thing is that city is moving to Pay-for-performance model that uses metrics like beds being used nightly, services provided, etc as the base for pay. One of the companies they contracted with has already had a problem with records being falsified in another market so that doesn't inspire confidence. I'm just glad the City is trying to give us actual performance metrics instead of just using the words "wraparound services" endlessly with nothing to show for it.
CHECK OUT HOW MANY BELOVED RESTAURANTS CLOSED THIS YEAR This isn't at all a complete list of restaurants that have closed this year, that happens all the time. But many of these were long time staples in the communities they were in, and many have said rising costs and the regulatory environment were the reason they were shutting down. Too bad politicians don't pay attention.
CAN YOU FIGHT OFF THESE ANIMALS? I'm not one who has grandiose illusions about fighting a grizzle bear, but I'm pretty sure I could take a house cat, a mouse, and a rat. And probably a goose. Read the list from this wacky survey here, we might discuss.
ANTI RACIST PROVES SHE'S A HORRIBLE PERSON And the only reason I'm including this is because the vile piece of garbage woman who verbally attacked an older Target employee POSTED IT ONLINE. She wasn't trying to make the world better, she is trying to get a woman fired and then ran to the internet so her fellow horrible people could clap and tell her how brave and stunning it was. This is what the Left is.
THIS WOMAN AT BONDI BEACH SAYS THE QUIET PART LOUD ON CAMERA I'm sure the ABC reporters asking her about her father in hospital from injuries sustained in the terror attack at Bondi Beach.
HOW AUSTRALIA LET THE BONDI BEACH ATTACK BREW This column from the NY Post lays out ALL the things that happened in Australia BEFORE the attacks of last weekend and we need to pay attention. Read this part:
In the two years since the Hamas attack on Israel, synagogues in Sydney have been firebombed, kosher restaurants vandalized, cars outside Jewish homes torched and rancid antisemitic graffiti have become ubiquitous along the Bondi promenade: “Kill Jews” is the mantra.
Every weekend for at least two years, downtown Sydney has been shut down by Palestinian protests.
In August, tens of thousands of people waving Palestinian flags and wearing now-fashionable keffiyehs marched across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to demand that Israel “stop the genocide” in Gaza. They were accompanied by the Sydney mayor, the former state premier, Labor members of parliament and assorted local celebrities.
It gets worse the more you read about how the Aussie leadership has embraced Hamas and the terrorists who say this is about a Palestinian state instead of anti-Semitism, which any thinking person can see it is. The question is what will we learn from this?
THE FBI WAS PRESSURED BY BIDEN TO SEARCH MAR-A-LAGO Of course they were. Of course. Read more in this story by David Strom. But of course.
VENEZUELA IS PRETTY SCREWED As it is surrounded by US warships. Tonight Trump is going to address the nation and perhaps we will get clarity on what exactly we are doing there. I don't have the stomach for more war, especially with a failing nation on the verge of collapse.
WHY AREN'T PEOPLE HAVING SEX? This is an interesting survey that shows overall, people (at least the Brits who were asked) were having less sex than since the survey began. Especially young people, who are having less sex than anyone except the Boomers. What's going on? This is super concerning to me.
MUSCLES KEEP YOUR BRAIN HEALTHY I love when I see older people lifting weights because it not only inspires me to keep working but I know they are doing aging right. Now we have a study that shows people with the most muscle mass also have the youngest brains. This doesn't necessarily prove cause and effect, but lifting weights in not only easy to get started doing, it's really fun to feel strong as you age. Trust me on that one.
SPEAKING OF WHICH, DO WHAT THIS 79 YEAR OLD DOES DAILY And if you think it's some crazy exercise routine you will be delighted to know it's just five things, some of which you can do when you get out of bed. Find them all here.
INSTANT OR DRY ACTIVE YEAST? I've always wondered what the difference is and The Wine Yogi sent me this today.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WINTER OLYMPICS And I can't especially wait for women's skiing. Mikaela Shiffrin is still winning and Lindsey Vonn is too! This is going to be a super fun games to watch.
BUT CAN THE WILDLIFE READ THE SIGNS? North America's biggest wildlife overpass just opened across I-25 in Douglas County. Though I am not opposed to such things, do the wildlife know they are only to cross there? They will learn, as animals are super smart about such things. I've got a story about alligators that proves that.
BUCK ROGERS HAS DIED Or at least the extremely handsome actor who portrayed him in the late 20th Century did. Gil Gerard, still handsome at 82, has died from cancer.

I'M SKEPTICAL OF THIS PASTOR Who happens to be the pastor of that mega church above. I don't believe that tickets sales cover ALL the cost of this show. And he doesn't address the hundreds of hours spent preparing that could be spent doing something more...Godlike. Watch below or click here.
