After learning that Taylor Swift had gotten engaged, third-grade students at St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis, Tennessee, designed a wedding dress for the pop star.
Guided by their teacher and working in the school’s Makerspaces program, the kids imagined the dress with inspiration from celebrity fashion and even included Swift’s cats as part of the creative story.
The project blended design, creativity, and problem-solving as the students brought their ideas to life.
Teachers say the class approached the assignment thoughtfully and enthusiastically.
