Reiner Tragedy Updates: Family's Response, and Nick's Court Appearance

Jake and Romy Reiner broke their silence in a joint statement yesterday on the murder of their parents, Rob and Michele.

Quote, "Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day. The horrific and devastating loss of our parents is something that no one should ever experience.

"They weren't just our parents, they were our best friends. We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life.

"We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave."

Here are more updates on the tragedy:

1. Rob and Michele's official cause of death was revealed to be, quote, "multiple sharp force injuries."

2. Their son Nick made his first court appearance yesterday in a suicide prevention smock. His arraignment is scheduled for January 7th, and he is being held without bail. And no, he won't receive inheritance if convicted.

3. The release of Rob's final film, "Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale", is on hold.
