Lend a Helping Can raises money for 12 New England charitable agencies to feed the Needy and Homeless.

The season of micro-giving

Instead of going big on one pricey present, lots of people are opting for a handful of smaller, more thoughtful mini-gifts. A survey found that 22% of respondents say they’re choosing to give micro-gifts this year — think cozy socks, chocolates, candles, or bath goodies. Gen Z, especially, is embracing this trend, with 36% choosing this gift-giving style.

Nearly half of people think it’s the perfect way to stay on budget while still delivering meaningful surprises — and 36% say shopping this way just feels more festive. Plus, 17% would much rather unwrap a bundle of cute little treats than just one splurge item.
