Victim Identified In Deadly Baytown H.S. Stabbing

Authorities have confirmed that the teenage student who was fatally stabbed with a pair of scissors at Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown on Wednesday was 16-year old Andrew Meismer.

The suspect in the stabbing has been identified as Aundre Matthews, 18. Also, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted a charge of murder against Matthews.

As reported by our tv partner KPRC channel 2, students were told: “Just don’t Look” at Ross S. Sterling High School as they are told to return to their classrooms.

Baytown parents’ question the school’s response to the stabbing incident that left 16-year-old Andrew Meismer dead.

The Baytown Police Department responded to the school following a report of a confrontation that had escalated to a stabbing.

As authorities addressed the situation, the school was placed on a temporary hold, but students were later ordered to return to their classrooms.

Serenity Wynn, a Sterling High School student who knew Meismer, said the lack of communication from the school after the traumatic incident left many students frightened.
