(West Des Moines, IA) -- A West Des Moines man has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for exploiting minors on social media.
28-year-old Nicklas Stanley was convicted of using Snapchat and Instagram to target minors, pretending to be their age and persuading them to send explicit photos. Prosecutors say Stanley then threatened to release the images if the victims stopped sending more.
He was charged with sexual exploitation of minors and possession of child pornography.
