(Johnson County, IA) -- The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is voting against a resolution to reinforce Fourth Amendment rights against unreasonable search and seizures.

The resolution would have required the county to post signs at building entrances that say a search warrant is required to access non-public work areas, among other requirements.

One board member said some of the resolution's wording was legally problematic.

The resolution was initiated by a nonprofit immigrant rights advocacy group after a social media video showing an immigrant man being arrested at work in Iowa City in September went viral.
