The Manhunt is Over. The Brown University shooter, also believed to be responsible for the shooting death of an MIT professor two days later in Brookline, Massachusetts, was found dead in a storage unit in Salem, NH. The shooter, identified by police as 48-year-old Claudio Manuel Neves Valente died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Valente was a former Brown University grad student and previously attended the same university in Portugal as the MIT professor who was killed. Police are still investigating a motive. This evening we will discuss all the known facts in both investigations, the timeline of events, and what we know about the shooter. Stay tuned!
