My friends down south who regularly play pickleball at a local Rec Center as a group and who are all friends off the courts came up with a great idea for the group...and for some high risk students at a local school.
They had a cookie exchange party after pickleballing...bring cookies to eat, trade, and share.
They also collected funds for high risk students at a local school. They raised over $500!
These are the kinds of actions that give the pickleball community a good name.
This was down south in Carmel Mountain Ranch, just north of San Diego. If anyone in the Temecula Valley wants to create an event like this, let me know. I'll be happy to promote it on the radio.
Good pickleball palyers doing good things during the holidays!
Photos of the event are here-
