A man is in custody and accused of causing a fatal traffic accident over the weekend.
Police say the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Chef Menteur Highway at Dodt Avenue, where a dirt bike collided with a vehicle.
The man riding the dirt bike later died at a local hospital. His name hasn't yet been released.
Investigators say Donte Harris had turned left in front of the oncoming dirt bike. Police arrested Harris at the scene on a charge of vehicular homicide.
