In case you missed it...
The NFL continues to cozy up to country stars for their halftime entertainment. After Post Malone blew fans away on Thanksgiving Day during halftime of the Dallas-Kansas City game, they've now invited Lainey Wilson to play during the break in the Christmas Day matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. She'll be joining Snoop Dogg and the real-life voices behind Hunter/X, though there's no word yet on how those performances will be staged (solo or collab). Lainey has done the halftime thing before, performing during halftime on Thanksgiving Day 2024 alongside Jelly Roll. While the NFL continues to look elsewhere for their Super Bowl halftime shows, it seems country stars are more than welcome to perform at regular season games. The game kicks off at 4:30p ET on Netflix.
Remember when we told you that Post Malone's bar Posty's was hooking up Nashville first responders with a free Thanksgiving dinner? They're doing it again, and this time, Jason Aldean's Kitchen and Rooftop Bar is joining them in keeping first responders working the holidays fed. On Instagram, Posty's official account posted, "To the ladies and gentlemen who keep Nashville safe every day, we’d love to thank you for your service this holiday season. On-duty, uniformed first responders are invited to join us Tuesday, December 23rd through Friday, December 26th for a complimentary meal at Posty’s." Aldean's place posted similarly, saying "To the brave men and women who show up for Nashville every day, let us serve you this Christmas. From Tuesday, December 23rd through Friday, December 26th, on-duty, uniformed first responders are invited to enjoy a complimentary meal on us at Aldean’s. We are truly thankful for all that you." The bars are side by side on Lower Broadway.
