(Undated) -- 2025 was a big year for alcohol. Americans spent $228 billion nationwide on drinks this year — but not so much in Iowa.
The list is topped by Alaska, with the average adult spending $1,248 on booze this year. Wyoming is second, just a few dollars less.
The study by SmartAsset.com puts Iowa at 34th in the nation, with the average spending per adult at $801.79 this year.
