(Iowa) -- Two of the three Iowa National Guard soldiers wounded in action in Syria last weekend are now back in the United States.

According to the Iowa National Guard, the soldiers are in stable condition, reunited with family, and will continue receiving care at a dedicated military facility.

The Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard says the Guard is “incredibly proud of their courage and sacrifice,” and the focus now is on providing comprehensive support.

The third soldier injured in the attack was treated locally and has returned to duty. None of the wounded soldiers have been identified.

Two other soldiers, Sgt. Nate Howard of Marshalltown and Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar of Des Moines, were killed in the attack.
