Questions are beginning to rise about what President Trump’s campaign strategy will be during the 2026 midterms. As president, he’s widely considered the leader of the GOP, and he’ll have to secure a major victory for the party if he wants to keep pushing his agenda.

The good news is there is a clear path to victory for President Trump—and he’s used it in both 2016 and 2024. The president simply needs to sidestep the mainstream media and take the message of his first-year successes directly to the American people.

Newsmax contributor Jeffrey Lord explained that this is already something President Trump excels at. “All he has to do is dictate something or type it in, and boom—his message is out there, all over the place, and uninterrupted by the media,” Lord said.

Lord did, however, warn that the mainstream media isn’t going to appreciate being sidelined—and they’ll likely continue to attack the GOP. “They can be the guys in the grandstands yelling, ‘Well, he did this, and he did that, and this isn’t working,’” he said.

The good news is Lord thinks that if the economy continues to strengthen throughout 2026—as it’s expected to—the naysayers in the left-wing media really won’t matter. Republicans should have a strong showing in November.
