Authorities in Texas say a father used his phone’s parental control tools to locate his 15-year-old daughter after she was kidnapped on Christmas Day. The girl went out to walk her dog and when she didn’t return home, the dad tracked her phone to a secluded, wooded area nearby.
According to deputies, the father found the teen and her dog inside a pickup truck with a 23-year-old man. After getting his daughter out of the truck, the dad called 911, leading to the suspect being taken into custody without incident.
The girl was safely reunited with her family, and authorities credit the quick actions of the father and first responders for bringing the situation to a calm resolution.
