Today is the fourth day of Kwanzaa and today's principle is Ujamaa, which means cooperative economics. Today's principle encourages us to focus on building and maintaining our own businesses so that our communities are strengthened through economic self-reliance and shared prosperity. One big way you can do that today is by supporting Black-owned business.
Kwanzaa is a 7-day celebration that continues through January 1st. You can celebrate it for free at Malcom X College all week long as they host their annual celebration each day through Thursday. The marketplace is opens from 10am-6pm with live performances, lighting of candles, shopping, activities and more! Find the schedule and info at this link.
