The National Weather Service is issuing a High Wind Watch in western Massachusetts through Wednesday.
The watch is in effect from 7:00 p.m. Monday through 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Franklin, Worcester, Hampshire, Hampden and Middlesex counties are all impacted by the announcement.
Winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour can be expected with gusts up to 60 miles per hour in some places.
NWS warns that the weather could result in power outages, downed trees and downed power lines. Travel in many areas could be affected as well.
