Fourth District Judge Tony Graf Jr. has ruled that a transcript—as well as recordings—of a closed-door hearing involving Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, can be released.
Graf did rule that both the transcript and the recordings should be redacted in order to ensure that Robinson receives a fair trial. In total, 246 words are expected to be redacted from the transcript.
According to reports from Fox News, the transcript is expected to be released by the end of the day, but the redacted recording could take up to two weeks to release.
This all follows a move by multiple media organizations to get advance notice of any attempts to seal hearings in the future—or any other attempts to limit courtroom access.
