Alex Van Halen is coming back to music with Toto founder Steve Lukather!
"I'm getting ready to do this record with Lukather and a couple of other people," Van Halen said to Iron Maiden’s Nicko McBrain on his podcast Metal Sticks.
Lukather, is famous for his ability to collaborate with just about anybody, as he’s been a part of countless classics throughout music history, including and not to be undersold his work with Toto. Steve even worked with the late great Edward Van Halen himself on Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”, which is leading some to speculate that Alex is referring to the completing of unreleased music featuring himself and Ed, before his passing in 2020.
It has been revealed that Van Halen had albums' worth of unheard music,
"They will stay there until we figure out how and why and what to do with them," he told Chris Jericho on his podcast. "And again, you have to remember, it has to be on the level of where Ed and I, where we used to play. We're not just gonna shovel it in. We have access to some of the greatest musicians on the planet, and a lot of 'em are more than willing to take a chance on some of the stuff."
