A suspect is in custody and accused of shooting a two-year-old girl in the head on Wednesday.
Police say the shooting happened on Harding Boulevard around 2:45 p.m.
The girl was riding in a vehicle with her mother when the woman saw somebody driving her stolen car and followed it.
Investigators say Landrick Ruffin fired shots at the car the woman was driving and wounded the child, one of six people in the car.
East Baton Rouge deputies arrested Ruffin on Thursday during a traffic stop. He's charged with six counts of attempted murder.
