Trump Says US will Intervene in Iran; Says Military is "Locked and Loaded"

President Trump issued a warning to the Islamic regime in Iran if they kill protesters.

Writing on Truth Social, the president said if Iran shoots and "violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue." 

"We are locked and loaded and ready to go," Trump said. 

Protests have been taking place in that country for about a week, all tied to Iran's deteriorating economy. At least seven people have been killed in clashes with security forces.

These are the most significant protests Iran has seen since 2022, and Trump's warning comes days after his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida, where he addressed the potential re-arming of both Iran, and its terror proxy, Hamas.
