Rex, a 3‑foot wallaby, escaped from Lots of Love Farm in Williamstown, New Jersey on December 29 after his cage wasn’t fully secured. He was found the next day in a Walmart parking lot in Gloucester County, spotted first by a shopper who alerted others.
Multiple witnesses saw him hopping around, and a group of young men with nets eventually captured him. His owners said the rescue felt like a miracle because wallabies are notoriously hard to catch.
