Orlando, FL - A heavy law enforcement presence was reported Friday night at Walt Disney World after authorities responded to a call involving a deceased individual at Disney Springs.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched just before 9 p.m. on January 2nd to the Disney Springs area following a report of a person down near East Buena Vista Drive.

When deputies arrived, they located an adult male inside the Orange Garage parking structure.

The individual was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials confirmed the incident occurred on property owned by Walt Disney World, specifically within the Disney Springs complex, a popular shopping, dining and entertainment district that is open to the public without park admission.

The garage was temporarily secured while deputies and Disney security established a perimeter to preserve the scene and allow investigators to conduct their work.

The sheriff’s office stated the death is being investigated as a possible suicide.

No foul play is suspected at this time.

Authorities have not released the identity of the man, his age, or further details regarding the circumstances leading up to his death.

An autopsy will be conducted by the medical examiner as part of standard procedure.

During the response, access to portions of the Orange Garage was restricted, causing brief delays for some visitors retrieving vehicles.

Operations at Disney Springs resumed as normal after the scene was cleared.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office indicated no additional updates are expected unless new information becomes available as the investigation continues.
