President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at 11 AM today (January 3) on WHP 580, following a significant U.S. military operation in Venezuela. During an appearance on 'FOX & Friends' earlier this morning, President Trump announced the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. The operation involved a U.S. military helicopter being hit, resulting in a few injuries, though no fatalities were reported.
According to WHP 580, the raid targeted four locations in Caracas, including military bases and an airport. President Trump stated that Maduro and his wife were captured and flown out of Venezuela. The operation was a response to accusations against Maduro of drug trafficking and election rigging.
President Trump had previously issued an ultimatum to Maduro to resign, accusing him of leading a "narco-state." The U.S. military's intervention in Venezuela marks its most direct action in Latin America since the 1989 invasion of Panama.
