(Ankeny, IA) -- An Ankeny man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman found by police.
32-year old Johnson Browne faces a charge of first degree murder.
Ankeny police say they found the victim stabbed to death in an apartment at 1010 Northeast Crestmoor Place Monday morning.
Police say Browne, who knew the victim, was already in custody for allegedly assaulting an officer on Sunday.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Browne is held in the Polk County Jail on $5,000 bond.
