The Cincinnati Bengals will retain head coach Zac Taylor and director of player personnel Duke Tobin, team owner Mike Brown announced in a statement shared on the team's official website Monday (January 5).

The Bengals missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season amid Joe Burrow's turf toe injury, which required surgery and ruled him out for the majority of the 2025 season, finishing at 6-11.

"Our focus is on building a team that can consistently compete at the highest level, with the goal of winning championships," Brown said. "After thoughtful consideration, I am confident that Duke Tobin and Zac Taylor are the right leaders to guide us forward.

"They have proven they can build and lead teams that compete for championships. We trust their plans and expect to return to our desired level of success."

Taylor was hired by the Bengals in 2019 after previously working as an assistant wide receivers coach (2017) and quarterbacks coach (2018) for the Los Angeles Rams. The 42-year-old has a 52-63-1 record in seven seasons in Cincinnati, which includes an appearance in Super Bowl LVI, two AFC Championship Game appearances and two division titles.

The Bengals have, however, finished third in the AFC North Division standings during each of the past two seasons and missed the playoffs in five of Taylor's seven seasons.

Tobin has served as the Bengals' director of player personnel since 1994, which includes a record of 185-199-4 and nine postseason appearances in 24 seasons.
