High-Risk Domestic Incident In Northwest Minot Leads To Arrest

January 5, 2026

Suspect arrested in high-risk domestic incident in northwest Minot On Jan. 3, 2026, the Minot Police Department was dispatched to a northwest Minot residence for a report of a high-risk domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers encountered an armed adult male, which led to a standoff. Officers maintained communication with the suspect, resulting in the safe surrender of a firearm. The suspect, Enrique Joel Pacheco, 29 was taken into custody without further incident. During the course of the investigation, officers made contact with the victim. It was determined that Pacheco physically assaulted the victim, made threats to kill the victim, and intentionally interfered with an emergency call. Pacheco was transported to the Ward County Jail without further incident. Pacheco was arrested for the following charges: • Domestic Violence – Serious Bodily Injury - C Felony • Terrorizing – Adult Victim - C Felony • Interference with Telephone During an Emergency Call – C Felony Pacheco was transported to the Ward County Jail without further incident.
