Police reported activity overnight at Vice President JD Vance's Cincinnati home.

Video footage from the scene showed apparent damage to the windows, possibly caused by vandalism or a break-in attempt.

The Secret Service has not commented.

Vance was home for the New Year's holiday in the East Walnut Hills area but returned to Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

Local police say a suspect is in custody, but no further details are available.
