Some U.S. service members were injured during the military operation that resulted in the capture of Nicolás Maduro. Officials have not said how many troops were hurt or how serious their injuries are. The San Antonio Express-News reports some of the injured are believed to be receiving treatment in Texas after being flown in from Puerto Rico. Flight tracking data showed a military aircraft landing in San Antonio over the weekend.
President Trump said the troops are in good shape and expected to recover. Members of Congress are being briefed today on the mission. Senior defense, intelligence, and national security leaders are expected to lead that briefing.
