According to the Associated Press, one woman has been shot and killed by ICE officers in Minneapolis, after she allegedly attempted to run over agents with her car.

Assistant Secretary Dept. of Homeland Security released a statement via X saying, "Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking  ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism. An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots."

We are still awaiting an official press conference from authorities on the ground, but Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has already taken the opportunity to demand that ICE leave the city, posting, "We’re demanding ICE to leave the city immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities."

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has confirmed that this was a domestic terror attack, and says ICE officers shot in justified self defense.

This is a breaking story, and we will provide updates as they become available.
