Miami, FL - The College Football Playoff semifinal at the Fiesta Bowl will decide which team moves one step closer to a national title, as the Miami Hurricanes face the Ole Miss Rebels in a matchup with major postseason implications.

Miami enters the game after a strong playoff run that included a statement win over Ohio State in the quarterfinal round.

The Hurricanes have built their success on a defense that has limited scoring opportunities and controlled the tempo of games throughout the postseason.

Head coach Mario Cristobal’s team has relied on a balanced approach, combining a physical rushing attack with timely passing plays to move the ball.

Quarterback Carson Beck has managed the offense during the playoff stretch, while the running game has been a key part of Miami’s ability to control possession and field position.

Ole Miss arrives in Glendale after a dramatic win over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl quarterfinal, a game that showcased the Rebels’ ability to score quickly and respond under pressure.

The Rebels finished the season with one of the more productive offenses in the country, leaning on their quarterback and a versatile group of skill players to generate points.

The team has continued its playoff push under interim leadership following a late-season coaching change.

The game will be played at State Farm Stadium, with kickoff set for the evening and a national television audience expected.

For Miami, a win would mean a return to the national championship stage for the first time in decades.

For Ole Miss, it would mark the program’s first appearance in the title game.

The winner will advance to compete for the College Football Playoff championship later this month.
