Early Tuesday morning in Baltimore, Steven Angelini woke to strange popping sounds and discovered a house across the street on fire.
He rushed outside, heard screams, and guided a mother at an upstairs window to drop her two children to him, catching both safely despite a prior arm injury. Neighbors soon arrived with a ladder to help the mother escape.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze, and the family suffered only minor injuries. The fire chief praised Angelini and the neighbors, and Angelini said acting quickly felt instinctive.
