Food prices at the Ashland County Jail ae going up.
According to AshlandSource.com, the 3-year deal with Florida company, Trinity Services Group, will see meal prices increase 35% - no matter how many people are incarcerated.
The Ashland County Commissioners have budgeted $350,000 for food at the jail this year, compared to $230,000 in 2021, which is a 52% increase in the last 5 years.
