French Montana and Max B reunite on wax for their anticipated mixtape.

On Friday, January 9, the New York-based rappers delivered their new project Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos via Coke Boy Records. The 22-track mixtape picks up where French and Max left off before the Wave God was arrested and sent to prison 16 years ago. Both artists began working on the tape the day Max was released in November. The project is led by the duo's recent hit "Make America Wavy Again," which dropped just before the holidays, and also includes other bangers like "Whippin That Wave."

One of the stand-out tracks on the project is "Ever Since U Left Me," which contains a familiar sample of KC & The Sunshine Band's “That’s the Way (I Like It).” The mixtape also features production from Metro Boomin, Harry Fraud, Dame Grease, Murda Beatz, DJ Clue, Johnny Goldstein of J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, and others. It also features a posthumous collaboration with their late friend Chinx. The Riot Squad member and Coke Boys signee was shot and killed while Max was locked up.

French and Max gave music executives and industry insiders a preview of their mixtape during an event held at Soho House Ludlow in New York City earlier this week. The project arrived over 15 years after the longtime friends launched the first installment of Coke Wave in 2009. French and the Coke Boys continued the series even after Max went to prison. The latest installment aims to make up for skipping over the third installment with Coke Wave 4 in 2019.
