Walmart is partnering with Wing to bring drone delivery to another 150 stores in four U.S. cities.

The service will expand to Los Angeles, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Miami, in addition to Arkansas, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Atlanta.

Wing's drones can fly beyond visual line of sight and deliver small orders within a six-mile radius of the store in about 30 minutes.

The service is designed for lightweight, quick need items and not full grocery hauls, with drones lowering packages on a tether to customers' yards or driveways.

Walmart's drone delivery setup includes dedicated equipment in the parking lot area, such as a "nest" for charging and storing drones and an "autoloader" area for staging orders.
