The Lancaster County Human Trafficking Task Force reported 41 arrests in 2025, as stated by the District Attorney's Office. The arrests resulted from eight undercover operations targeting human trafficking activities. Six individuals were arrested for soliciting minors for sex, and 20 were charged with patronizing prostitutes, a third-degree misdemeanor.

The task force, established in 2022 by District Attorney Heather Adams, collaborates with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private and nonprofit organizations. In addition to arrests, the task force focused on community outreach and victim services to enhance safety and awareness.

The task force also partnered with organizations like ZOE International and North Star Initiative to provide victim support. During an August operation, a young woman showing signs of trafficking was identified. She received immediate assistance, including shelter and an interpreter, and was reunited with her family within 24 hours.

District Attorney Adams emphasized the importance of community involvement in combating human trafficking. The task force's efforts included 67 presentations and trainings, as well as a symbolic Red Sand Project in July to raise awareness.

The task force continues to work towards preventing human trafficking and supporting victims, with plans for ongoing operations and community engagement in the future.
