A 'Muslim's Only' event scheduled at a Grand Prairie water park has been canceled, after Governor Greg Abbott threatened to pull more than half a million dollars in grant funding.
"Apparently, it's not even the first they necessarily even had this event" said Brandon Waltens, senior editor at Texas Scorecard, "And the advertising for the event was very, very straight forward. It said 'Muslim's Only', this is a Muslim's only event, and there's a problem there because this is a public water park."
It's just the latest example of the how the push for Islam in Texas is on the rise.
"Absolutely, I mean that's what we're seeing here, the Islamification attempts by these radical Islamic groups to take over Texas has not ceased" said Waltens told KTRH.
It was the second story involving Islam in Texas this week.
"The Texas American Muslim university in Dallas has just been ordered to cease operations, because it turns out they weren't operating with state authorization, and you see these little inroads all over the place" noted Waltens.
It's a big issue that is not going away, anytime soon.
